Mortgage Consultant
Reporting to Head of Mortgage Services
Job Purpose
To provide advice to clients on mortgage, protection and general insurance products and services.
Principal Accountabilities
- To conduct fact-find calls with clients referred by the company in an effective and efficient manner, gathering all relevant information
- To place mortgages for clients of LIFT-Financial, LIFT-Mortgages and LIFT-Sport ensuring a high level of customer service in order to enhance the clients’ experience with the company
- Developing and maintaining a client bank of your own and maximising opportunities within this client bank
- To develop new revenue streams and contacts from which to refer mortgages
- Ensuring technical knowledge is current and relevant and that CPD records are filed monthly to the Compliance Officer
- Keeping up to date with requirements of regulation and the impact on mortgages, protection & general insurance
- Developing a robust review process for your clients and ensuring that service is delivered in line with the agreed fee structure
- Ensuring that the internal database system is used effectively and accurately and that client detail is recorded and kept up to date with all relevant information

Essential Requirements
- CeMAP or equivalent qualification
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
- Minimum 6 months advisory experience
- Computer literate
Desirable Requirements
- Financial Planning Certificate or equivalent
- Willing to work towards Advanced CeMAP
- Diploma in Financial Planning
